Default Question for RCW...

I have been using the products that you recommend for about a year and a half and my skin is looking great! (Thanks again for that, by the way...)

Anyway...

I have recently started playing around with makeup a little more and have been using Clinique's Take The Day Off remover to make sure that I loosen everything up before washing my face. I only use it a couple times a week, at most. But I am concerned...is it possible for this stuff to "re-harm" my skin barrier? I haven't noticed any breakouts after using it but I don't want to wait until I get to that point to ask the question.

I also feel like I need to use something in order to make sure that I get all of my makeup off when I do decide to wear it.

I know you've mentioned that you use olive oil to remove eye makeup but I am concerned with using it over my entire face. I am afraid that this will cause breakouts...similar to OCM???

Any help you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I looked up the ingredients. It's got a lot of detergents and silicones in it. I personally wouldn't use it. I just wash my face twice if I don't feel clean enough from the first washing. I haven't been wearing waterproof mascara in quite some time, so all my makeup is water soluble.

Do you think that using a little bit of olive oil on the rest of my face to get off primer and mineral foundation would be too bad if I were to wash my face right afterward?

Even if it's not every day, do you think it might still cause breakouts?

It's up to you. Oils won't hurt your skin barrier, but many oils can be comedogenic to many people. I tend to avoid them as much as I can.
