Reasons why I love being a curly girl.
Ok, time to start some curl-lovin'!
REASONS WHY I LOVE BEING A CURLY GIRL!
Here's mine....
I've recently been finding out from my friends that people who don't know my name refer to me as "the girl with dark curly hair." That makes it easy to figure out who they're talking about. It makes me feel unique.

Curly hair is fun, and it always looks like you put effort into it, even if it's just in a messy bun or a ponytail.
I love the way it bounces and springs when I walk.
It casts neat shadows

My reasons:
I love being the envy of straight haired people!
I love being unique.
I love having an excuse to be a PJ!!! Aah, the beauty of having thick curly thirsty hair thus buying new products every 5 seconds
I love how long it takes for others to curl their hair (which they have to overload with hairspray to make it stay in place) when it only takes us a few minutes to style our natural hair, maybe even a few seconds lol

I'll have to look for the shadows;D
I like that it is really easy to care for, once you know what works for you and what you are doing. I've found that I am a LOT lazier these days and taking 30 minutes minimum to blow dry, then straighten it...too long. I give up halfway and then it looks like crap.

I love being a curly girl because it makes me feel unique
It is easier to keep curly than straight which would just go frizzy if it rains.
I like playing with my curls when I get bored in lessons too. Woo (:

Because I am the envy of all my straight-haired friends.
Because it suits my face and makes me look younger.
Because I've never been good with a blow-dryer, and now I can just air-dry.
The only real draw-back is the length of time it takes to dry. If I can't be home by 7:00 in the evening to cowash, I just put it up until the next evening.

Because being wurly explains why my hair never looked good straight!!!!!
I always wondered why it didn't matter what product I used, I always had frizz, when I heat styled. I still do very occasionally, but since it's not daily it's ok. Most of the time I diffuse, though. But since I stopped the flat irons and curling irons and round brushes, the frizz and raised cuticles have gone bye bye usually. YAY!!!!
I used to say my hair had enough bend in it to be annoying. DUH RYMORG, that bend was WAVE AND CURL.......

After the last time I had my highlights done, I had two different straight-haired girls at work tell me my hair always looks perfect, and I hardly spend any time on it!!!

My hair can make me feel young, silly, happy, sexy, energetic. It gets me tons of compliments. It looks different from all that flat-ironed hair.

I love having people ask me "is that natural? You're so lucky!" (I agree!)
At work I'm known as "the girl with the hair."
My hair makes me look younger than my age (49).
I was in the stylist's chair once and his next customer was waiting nearby for a perm. She asked him "can you make mine look like that?" pointing to my hair. He told her "No. I can come close, but this is natural." Gotta love being the object of hair envy.

I like that it stands out in a crowd in most social situations. Many women here still flat iron a lot or follow the trendy new BKT bandwagon (bleh).
I like that it bounces and moves. I went horseback rising yesterday and there was a part of the trail where the horse gets to run a little. I looked to my left and could see my shadow and you could see the curls bounce, lol.
I like that it is pretty dependable and consistent as long as I pay attention to it and to the weather. If I slack off, it will tell me.
Although I like getting my hair blown out a few times a year, I do notice that I look younger with my curls.
Now that is long/longish, I like that it's both long and curly. It took four years, but it grew, lol.
