How much heat protectant do you apply to your hair before flat ironing ? Most product instructions say to apply a quarter size amount, is that sufficient ?

Do you apply heat protectant to wet hair or to dry hair ?

After applying heat protectant do you wait for your hair to dry before you start flat ironing, or do you flat iron immediately after applying the heat protectant ?

I use run hair protection through my hair when its damp/wet and I use as much as I feel my hair needs, not too much as it makes my hair greasy. Before I flat iron or blow dry I spray on heat protection spray as well for double protection
