anybody notice that their natural hair straightens better than the relaxed parts?

I've been transitioning for 8 months I suppose, and I've noticed that the parts without relaxer in it look straighter when I flat iron my hair. I have 3b/3c hair, and there's a noticeable difference where I stopped relaxing and where it's relaxed (to me anyway). Has anybody else experienced this?
With the weight of your relaxed ends still on your hair, you will see that. The pulling of your relaxed hair is preventing your curls from completely forming making it easier to straighten. You won't really know your natural hair until all of your relaxer is gone. Happy transitioning!
