How straight do you like your hair?
1 Attachment(s)
I've noticed by watching a lot of youtube videos that there are different types of straight that people like their hair.
I like mines very pin-straight. But there was some other people who like theirs wavy at the ends, or puffy at the roots (for volume). Attached is a picture of how I like my hair when I straighten it. That is second day hair, btw. |
I'd probably love to see my hair pin straight but I've never done it for fear of damaging my thin hair. I just do a rollerset and then make it smoother with blowdryer and brush. I'm happy if my hair is just smooth instead of frizzy, crinkly, and messy looking.

I like mine really straight but not pin straight. I like it to have a little more volume. The last time I got my hair pin straight I got major heat damage :(

My hair had some heat damage from all the years I straightened my hair. When I was in highschool, all I would do was straighten my hair because I didn't know what to do with it. (I would straighten my hair while it was damp and didn't use heat protectant either, which I regret.) My hair was down to my elbows. Then, when I got into college, I had my hair cut to above my shoulders. (Where it was short, but long enough to put my hair up in a ponytail.) It looked healthier, because my ends weren't split anymore. It's been about two years since that hair cut and within those two years, I still cut off a total of about 6-8 inches myself. Now, I only straighten my hair 1-2 times a week now as oppose to the 5 times a week in my highschool days. Some weeks, I go without using my flat iron. |

Pin straight! When I want it straight, I want it really straight. My hair has become so manageable lately (don't know why, but I love it), so it only takes 5 minutes to straighten my hair. It used to take between 20 and 40 minutes to straighten my coarse, long, thick hair...but now it's a little thinner and smootherr(blame hormones). :love4:

I love my have straight straight straight! I get it straightened every two weeks and it usually last a week and a half. The straighter the longer it last.

^^ya that's like my hair ppl always ask if I have a relaxer..but I don't want to cut the heat damaged ends..and I'm stil in hs so it's the only hairstyle where people don't make negative comments eventhough I wear my hair in a ponytail ppl always want to say "its poofy why don't you straightened it or get braids"
I can't w8 to get out of high school in college I plan to not flat iron my hair except for special events. @}~'~~ |
I like it completely straight.
|
It depends. Sometimes I want it pin straight, and other times I want it to have a little more volume so I don't have the temperature set to the highest on my flat iron.
|
When it was shorter I liked it fluffy with lots of volume. Now that's it's longer, it's below bra strap length when straight now, I like it pin straight and parted down the middle. I'd also like to add waves with my flat iron sometimes, but it won't hold the curls :-(
