Went from natural to relaxed?

I started relaxing my hair when I was 12/13 and I did it (because I was stupid) and I thought it would be easier, will take me less time to spend on my hair. I relaxed for 3 years but I would only do it once every 6 months.

I regret it so much! In the long run, it made my hair thinner and it changed my curl pattern. Before I started relaxing, my hair was until my tailbone, when I stopped, it was shoulderlength (and did not grow longer during the three years), it was damaged, not damaged as you can see. A lot of people say, if it looks good, it's not damaged but I didn't believe my hair could still be healthy by putting such a heavy chemical into it.

I actually thought I would spend less time taking care of my hair but that's honestly not true. Now that my hair is curly, it is way easier. I don't even spend that much time on detangling, and I think that is because my mom learned me how to handle and take care of my curly hair from a very young age. I am so glad that I stopped relaxing but I wish I had never done it in the first place.

So for me, it's actually the other way around. I regret relaxing my hair.
I had a wavy hair. And it made me bother always when I comb my hair to go for an outing. So 1st I relaxed my 1st layer only. It was cool and then I thought to relax my full hair. So now I have relaxed my whole hair. It looks great right now.
