I think any heat protectant that contains a good amount of silicones will be your best option, which opens up, well, everything really. There are some CG heat protectants but I really think it's the silicone aspect of other products that give it that "protecting" quality.
I know Sally's has some GVP heat products that are inexpensive, so I'd start there.
