3a after flat ironing heat damage?

I can't quite figure out my curl type NOW after heat damage. I'm pretty sure it used to be 3b when I was younger and barely did much to my hair. Here are some pics of hair hair stages/journey. Can you please help me decipher my natural curl type and my current damage curl pattern?

Right before college flat ironing on a regular weekly basis after roller sets and using a heat protector. I should've stopped then! - 3B/3A?

Curls now after my big chop are slowly reverting now that I'm going by the CG method using a mix of deva curl products along with KinkyCurly (also I have wavier/straight pieces in the front) - 3A?

Please help!!

Your hair looks 2C/3A to me. I'm a 3B/3A and my curls are tighter ringlets.

Your current pics look 3A to me, but your pre-flat-ironing pics look 3B. Quite a few people report having problems returning to their former curl pattern after heat damage. Also, some people get looser curls as they get older (while for others it's the opposite). When you say (below the last pics) that you BC'ed, do you mean that you BC'ed all of the parts you had previously flat-ironed? Or did you chop a relaxer?

If you want to get back to your 3B pattern, you are on the right track going CG! What products are you using, besides Kinky-Curly?

I agree with Hootenanny, 3A now but probably 3b before flat ironing. I love 3b hair - I'm 3a myself and always wish for a stronger curl pattern. Good luck :toothy4:

I'd say 3a pre-flat iron. Doesn't really look 3b to me, 3b seems to be a bit curlier?

3B is curlier than that. Perhaps she was a 3A/B, but definitely more on the side of A.
