Default Looking for a good flat iron.

Im wanting to straighten my hair once the weather dries up and the humidity gets lower. I really need a good straightener. The last one I had was a Remington that was awesome, but Walmart no longer carries this particular one. Does anyone have an recommendations for a flat iron in the 50 dollar range (that's all I'm willing to spend on a flat iron)?

Ummmmm I know CHIs are good, and ceramic plates are always the best. But the ones I've seen are 70-80 dollars.

(My opinion) I'd splurge on a flat iron/blow dryer. The more expensive ones are usually of higher quality, have quicker drying times with less heat/dont take as many hair passes to straighten which, again, is less heat and less damage to your hair. Sometimes they go on sale, but I wouldn't try to be cheap with a flat iron. Not saying that you're being cheap, of course. 50 dollars is a lot of money. But when it comes to heat tools, I'd have to bite the bullet. Check Sally's though, and ask them. They have a lot to choose from and fair price ranges.

Thanks. I'm not willing to spend more than 50. Especially conidering I don't use a flat iron much. I've checked out Sally's flat irons online. I have a couple in mind, but I'd like more opinions about them. I've only ever bought my flat irons at Walmart, so I'm unfamiliar with other brands.

ahh I was going to suggest Remington; the one I have is fantastic...have you considered buying it online?
