Unhappy Is there a way to see if you have heat damage...

without wetting your whole head?

I just straightened my hair tonight because I was just curious to see how long it is and to trim my ends. I am paranoid that I might have heat damage.
I am so tempted to just wash my hair, but I spent way too long straightening it. I usually wash my hair on the weekends( either Saturday or Sunday), but I don't think I can wait until next weekend.
Is there a way I can see?
I used a heat protectant before I used my blow dryer( I only used this on low after I let my hair air dry for about an hour) and my flat iron.
My hair is mainly 4a with some 3c and 4b included.

Thank you!
