Default change my 3C to 3A

Hi everyone. I have naturally 3c hair which is ok but not to be seen in public. Now I think 3A hair is worthy of being shown off.
I like my 3b/c hair if I round brush it and let it get old and it starts to shrink back to natural a little so it ends up looking like a 3a/b

Now I saw an interesting product called curlformers they are sleeves that you pull your hair thru to set it.

But has anyone done this permanently with a permanent wave on large rollers?

I used to do this frequently years ago on folk when I was a stylist with a product called wave nouveau on orange or purple rods. But that was another lifetime ago. I am sure 3c hair could achieve this with just a regular permanent body wave product without a straightener step in it like wave nouveau.

I guess you might need to comb the permanent wave solution through for about 10 minutes first before you set it on large rollers. Combing it in for a while first would loosen the curl pattern up before setting it on a new size rod.

I would use green, black and brown perm rods for this which are 1 1/8"- 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" diameter respectively if you have long hair. For shorter hair maybe orange rods but no smaller.

Has anyone used a body wave on 3c hair setting it on huge perm rods or large rollers to enlarge their curl pattern?
I may have to get brave and try it one day.

Another question. for those of you who have 3A hair, what would you say is the diameter of your curls?

What's wrong with 3c in public? And I'm pretty sure a heavy cream can loosen them up.

I have 3b/c short hair & love it. I wear it in public & get complimented all the time. Since going natural, I've learned to love my hair no matter what. I'm learning what my hair can & can't do. I roll with it. Liberate yourself & love your hair.

I also am looking for a way to give me looser curls. I have blonde hair but I get it highlighted, my stylist told me I couldn't do any kinda perm because it might damage it. I have very fine hair. My hair spirals like Shirley Temple....cute if I was 12. haha
