How long until..?

Hi everybody, I've straightened my very fine hair 6/7 days a week for the last three years on 450F. Never using heat protectant. It's been a week since I have last straightened it and I dread every time I walk close to a mirror. Half of my hair looks pretty 2a and the other half is a 2c (If 2c was a huge puffball). My hair was 2c/3a when I was younger and when it was actually healthy. I'm just in need of a little hope. To the girls who went from daily flat ironing to natural, how long until you started seeing results?
I did the same thing!
For me it probably was about 3-4 months after fling cg that I noticed a difference. I kind if dove into though...I had the hair dresser cut of all my broken/split ends (6 inches straight) and than made a one year pact to only use conditioner in my hair (and no heat). This helped give my poor damaged hair the moisture it needed and a break from the heat so it wasn't long before I noticed it felt better. After that its about finding the right products that work with your hair. I was on a tight budget so Just stuck with one conditioner (lorel Eversleek) but I've gradually been trying some new things and branching out. I will say that you will probably notice the biggest difference first in the hair next to your scalp (the new hair that hasn't been straightened as much). But it will take some time. I'd definitely suggest weekly deep treatments (based on you properties of course) I used coconut oil and it definitely helped my hair alot!
It was at least 6 weeks before I could bare to look at my hair. It's now been 3 1/2 months and here are my before and afters. How long until..?-uploadfromtaptalk1370180125403.jpg

Keep reading and trying new things, look at how much moisture and protein you're getting, figure out what other people with your properties like, and any time you get disheartened take a look at the before and after ch thread in general discussions, it always cheers me up.
