Cowlick in the front. I want to scare it straight. How?

Ok, so Iíve been trying to straighten my hair which is a bit wavy/frizzy, very short fine hair. Most of my hair presents 0 problem since itís only got a slight wave so a little product takes care of it but I have a cowlick on the front of my head that drives me nuts. No matter what I try I canít seem to get it to go pin straight.

Iím a guy just trying to do a basic, clean swept side partÖ.sorta like Justin Timberlakeís new hair but not nearly that done up. My hair is shorter as well, both in the front and on top.

Iíve been using a boar brush and a hair dryer and reading up on the proper way but my hair is too short to wrap around the brush and get any real tension to straighten it (itís 1.5 inch in diameter). I picked up a extremely small 0.75 wide diameter brush that should do the trick to get tension to really straighten it.

Iím definitely doing something right since I have noticed itís straighter but Iíve got OCD about it now and maybe getting the proper tension will do the trick?

Iím not doing anything else crazy with the hair and I have learned some techniques with blow drying that have helped. Iím using the Garnier Fructis straightening balm and that has helped to reduce the frizz. I also have Oribe Maximista although I feel like I have hair spray in my hair when Iím brushing it out.

Any other ideas that donít involve putting mayo in my hair?
