What I miss about being Texlaxed and what I don't

I get fed up sometimes with my hair -- how shrinky it is, how long it takes to dry and got nostalgic for a texlax. So here's a dose of reality.

What I miss:
- hardly any shrinking - myhair stayed almost the same length wet or dry
- Faster drying time; couple of hours

What I don't miss
- frizziness and constant dryness; had to deep treat constantly
- fragility
- I could only use a temporary color rinse; semis and perms broke off my hair and receded my hairline
- Having that relaxer put on me; even for the short time it was on, it always burned. Hated going, hated having it done, seeing it done to other women
- Curl pattern could change from touch-up to touch-up and was typically different on one side

Very interesting. I am examining what exactly a texlax is. I enjoyed your post.

Thanks for bumping this. I forgot I posted it. Forgot I even had those moments of frustration. It's nice to be reminded that this hair is an evolution.

Texlax is simply a relaxer applied for a shorter period of time. Same relaxer used to straighten hair.
