CHI 44 Iron Guard?

I was cruising through the hair products aisle in Wal-Mart when something new on the shelf caught my eye: a line called CHI (http://www.chiretail.com/home.html). They have a heat styling product, "44 Iron Guard." Have any of you seen this or used it before?

I think it's okay for a CG, but someone correct me if I'm wrong... I can do the Alcohol if I use a really rich conditioner before and when shower next. I also don't currently have any protein in my hair diet, but I think it's probably good for this purpose.

I used to straighten my hair a lot before I went CG, and I've been afraid to straighten my hair since then. I want to straighten it again (back before CG I wanted to because I didn't like my curls; now I just want a different style for a day!)

I bought the product, because I thought it looked safe, but if it's not, someone let me know.... here is the list:

Water, Sodium Polystyrene Sulfonate, SD Alcohol 40-B, Propylene Glycol, Polysorbate 20, PPG-20 Methyl Glucose Ether, Disodium EDTA, Hydrolyzed Silk, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, PG-Propyl Silanetriol, Parfum, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Ceramic
Red-headed curly girl and lovin' it!

I have some of this stuff. I almost never straighten my hair, but a friend of mine is a stylist and when she straightened my hair, this is the line that she had me buy. I got the serum, the iron guard and some cream stuff. It works well (I'm a 4a), but it's definitely not CG. I don't like the way the Iron Guard makes my hair feel.
Nappy is not an 'N' word.
