Here lies Jan Smith, wife of Thomas Smith, marble cutter. This monument was erected by her husband as a tribute to her memory and a specimen of his work. Monuments of this same style are two hundred and fifty dollars.

I had my hair chemically straightened for years at a salon that used Rusk Radical Anti-Curl, which is a thio based relaxer. My sister has been using the same thing for probably 10 years and she doesn't have any problems with damage. She does keep her hair jawbone length though. Sometimes if you have thin/fine hair and you straighten repeatedly, your ends will get damaged looking if you don't keep them trimmed on a regular basis. I wouldn't recommend trying to do it yourself, but pretty much any salon will do it. I would find one that uses a thio based relaxer instead of the other type (can't rememder what it's called, sodium hydroxide maybe) just because it seems to be gentler.
