Saskatchewanian here - we have a SDM, but not alot of the other places listed.
Nature's Gate I found recently at London Drugs (a western thing?), and I have had good luck, actually at SDM with Kiss My Face conditioners and Burt's Bees.

Oyin Handmade in Toronto
I just came back from the Toronto Honeyfig store and I was really impressed. They had Oyin Handmade! Yippee! They are currently out of the Whipped Pudding but have pretty much everything else. They also carry Kinky Curly, Mixed Chicks and Carol’s Daughter. I was in curly girl heaven.
Also, they are in talks with Qhemet so that may be coming soon.
Happy Shopping!

Hey KinkyPJ,
Oh my gosh, I will be going to HoneyFig in a couple of weeks to see what's going on there. I got that complimentary call from the owner to say all the new products they have there and I was so happy to hear about the OYIN products! My question is, are the products reasonably priced (Oyin specifically)? Or are we, as Canadians, charged WAYYYYYYY more than the USAers? lol

Hi SunRae,
It really depends on the product line. I purchased Curls Whipped Pudding (8 oz.) for $22 and it’s usually $17 US. The Oyin Shine & Define (4 oz.) wasn’t so reasonably priced at $18 and it’s usually $11 US. Also, the Kinky-Curly products seem to be a bit pricy even with the exchange rate factored in.

I just HoneyFigged again last nite (I'm addicted, lol). Ok, not sure about you all but I've been looking all over for the heat cap for deep treatments and picked mine up at HF.
Milly, they are out of the WDT, but should receive stock soon (just in case that's what you're looking for). I looked at the ingredients of Too Shea and it’s pretty much the same with the exception of two ingredients.

Hi, at iherb.com they have a 5$ discount for first time customers. And those customers can request their own discount code for $5 but they can't use it again ,they have to pass it on to others(on the net or to friends).I found this discount code on the net and it works,I just receive my package.

Herbs
Thanks Holly.
Does anyone purchase their herbs on the ground in the GTA? I've purchased online before but shipping is a you know what and duty kills the whole experience.

Yup, recently bought a whole lot of herbs from Noah's Natural Foods on Eglington and Yonge. They have an amazing selection at that particular Noah's.
http://www.noahsnaturalfoods.ca
and they were both great quality and organic! I am going to try to get some from Chinatown for affordability but not sure if they'll be less quality due to that.

Yeah, I really like Noah’s but they are too expensive when it comes to bulk herbs. I’m going to order from Mountain Rose Herbs again (even with shipping and duty they are cheaper).
When I was in Chinatown the other day, I went into this Chinese herb store. I was kind of freaked out b/c the guy came up to me and asked me to stick out my tongue (FREAKY!). Anywho, I also question the quality and authenticity of the herbs in Chinatown.

Everything I bought at Noah's wasn't very expensive except the slippery elm which was rather astronomic. $5 for 100 grams! Which store in Chinatown did you go? I know one rather quality store in Chinatown on Baldwin and Spadina, and its there I am going to try and compare herbs with the Noah's ones. I'll report back with a review.

The store I visited is at the corner of Spadina and Nassau. Let us know how the other store works out.

Yes I saw HoneyFig on our way to the doctors, I so wanted to stop and go in. But I knew my husband wouldn't be able to drag me out!!
I'll be heading there soon (we plan on buying a condo in the yonge and sheppard area). Do you know if they sell denman brushes? I've bee searching high and low for one of these and cannot find one!!

I'm pretty sure that they don't sell denman brushes. You can pick one up at Sally's. I purchased the Goody version from Shopper's (it's exactly the same and a fraction of the price).
*If you have fine hair, do not use the denman brush. It will pull your hair out; I learned the hard way *

Thanks! I got a "denman" from Shoppers as well.
My hair is very fine. However I find denman is awesome for my hair when it's sopping wet with loads of conditioner. I use it right when I get out the shower, mainly for detangling and even distribution.

When the Canadian dollar was equal and/or better to the U.S. dollar, our prices were still higher. I asked them about this and was told that even though the dollar is the same, it costs them more to bring the product over to Canada ... At the time, it was cheaper to order from the U.S. Since our dollar sunk again, honeyfig is the place to go !!
I wish they sold their Oyin products online. I'm not sure whey they only have them in the store.
The customer service at honeyfig is second to none. They are an awesome company to deal with.
