Okay, reporting back! The swap turned out well. I received my package today. It was in my mail box, sent parcel post and even had a tracking number. She actually sent it out the day after I sent mine. I did mine priority mail, she did her's parcel (which is fine). The communication would have made this an excellent swap. Anyway, her word is good.

Glad turned out well, but is your swapper a new member? Because it sounds like they don't really know what they're doing. Putting tracking on a package but not giving you the tracking number really is awful communication (not to mention not using common sense). It would've saved you alot of headache and concern.
I just went through a pretty bad experience that common sense and communication would've alleviated too, and the member was a new one. It turned out fine in the end, so no "bad swap" feedback to report, but it does re-enforce my new resolution not to do swaps or sells with new members (my own personal rule, all of my bad transactions have been with new members with low post counts and no feedback).

Initially I wasn't going to post anything on this mishap because I absolutely loved the product. It truly is the best! But, since I created a " pretty bad experience" with my lack of "common sense" I felt the need to post.
True, I am a very new member to site. I don't post very much because I read what I search for, apply, move on. (now that i found the app I'll post more) Anywhoo, once I stated I wanted the product I payed before I was even committed to the product purchase soley because I knew that I've had previous issues with people charging my PayPal so it has a restriction block where all charges have to be authorized by me. This has occurred once before where I pay and the bank kicks it back until I approve it. This happened this time as well with a transaction with Auntie Bubbs and KathyMack<--whom handled the mishap with ease I'll give her the excellent review that she deserves later.
My main issue arose from the accusations when it only took me a DAY to reply. I do understand that you're taking a leap of faith to sell to a new member. But, believe it or not everyone was once a new member. Do not verbally attack a person's credibility just because they didn't see the notification of your PM especially because it wasn't within a 6hr time span. I have a life and it most certainly doesn't revolve around a forum.
As stated before I love the product. Delivery time was excellent but although I'm younger than you. You have some maturing to do as a seller. I'm not saying trust the world but customer service goes a long way, and delivery of messages are the key to it all. It could of went a total different way with someone with a short temper. Woosah, the world isn't out to get you especially not for 10 bucks.
:-)
that being said *can anyone direct me to a way to make my own flaxseed gel?

KurlyVonne, the rules of this forum state:
PRIVATE MESSAGES: You may not post the contents or the gist of a private message or email received from any other person.
Because you are a new member, I'm going to assume you didn't research the rules before posting the content of a PM here. But I am going to request you modify your message ASAP. It's very disrespectful to put the verbatim text of someone's private communication on a public forum without their permission, and it IS against the rules of this forum.
As for the rest of your message, the only thing that I'm going to dignify with a response is to say that, I didn't report your name on the bad swaps, YOU did. I was content to leave it be.

KurlyVONNE, I have edited your post to remove the quote of the other member's PM. Quoting a PM is not permitted by the rules of this board.
I encourage you both to resolve your issue peacefully.

Shipping Cost Issue
Hi,
I don't post a lot, and I am still trying to learn how to navigate everything. I sold a product to a person on here, and I included shipping in the cost of the item. She purchased it on Friday evening, I purchased shipping cost online and the item was in transit. On Monday she filed a complaint with Paypal saying she hadn't received the item and demanded a full refund. this is really stressful for me, I am moving right now, and I didn't need this right now.

Wow, sounds like a really unreasonable person or someone trying to get a free product. If she purchased on Friday why would she expect to have it on Monday? Did you respond to the paypal complaint? I would think this would go in your favor?

Yes, I told paypal that the item was in transit. Even tho I did purchase the shipping online, it was my first time doing that, so I still went into the post office to make sure everything was ok. I told the buyer that. I am moving and now I may be out of the shipping money too.

If you purchased shipping online, did you take down the tracking number? Was this through USPS click-n-ship? The tracking is included by default and you can find that info in your USPS account or even your PayPal account if you did the shipping online through PayPal. This might be good evidence that you did in fact ship to the buyer.

If you purchased on PayPal or USPS, you can check the shipping confirmation to see where the package is--it may have arrived at this point. Your buyer is being unreasonable to expect the item to arrive so quickly. If she paid you for "goods" and not a "gift" AND you did the shipping label through PayPal--it will show when the item is delivered because of the automatic shipping confirmation in your final price. PayPal will back you in the dispute, no problem.
This is the reason that I only do PayPal shipping and receive payment for "goods." It's worth the charges to have the shipping confirmation and PayPal support--just in case.

I'd add that if someone asks you to send payment as a gift, you ("you" in general, not being specific here) might want to consider politely declining and explaining your reason why. I personally will not conduct a transaction with anyone who refuses to accept payment as "goods"; I'm fine with paying extra to cover the fees, but please don't insist that payment be sent as a gift.
This "issue" has come up a few times before, unfortunately, because some people have had problems getting refunded when they sent payments as gifts.
I hope your situation works out, seamonster!

I've given this a bit of thought and I would just like to see how some of you see this:
Sold a couple of items to an unnamed buyer for what I felt was a very reasonable price. Buyer received the items. After using them a few times she found that they weren't going to work for her. After about a week she posted them on the swap board at almost double the price she had bought them from me. After some thought, I pm'd her about the inflated price. She first said that she didn't remember how much she paid me, but that she didn't think she should change the price just to make me feel better. And she hasn't.
I told her she shouldn't change it just to make me feel better, but because she feels it's the right thing to do.
I think she feels I'm being overly sensitive. Am I?
Thoughts?

I think it's extremely poor form on her part, and I definitely wouldn't buy from or swap with anyone who did this.
I went back through recent postings on the swap board, and found the products (and NCer) you're referring to. There is a HUGE disparity between what she paid and what she is now charging: a 43% markup, to be exact. A few bucks to cover shipping, OK, but this is inexcusable!
Just my two cents, FWIW.

Thanks for your response, Yossarian. You are good if you could figure that out! But actually, the markup is more like 86%, from $15 to $28, but who's counting (me I guess).

haha, you're right. I divided by 28 (her price) instead of 16 (yours).
Now I'm REALLY outraged! : )

It's very poor form, at the least, but I guess not against the rules. If someone wants to pay those prices, that's foolish.
Maybe you could link your original swap thread in a post to her swap thread as an FYI? If it's not against the rules for her to mark up the price so much, I don't see why it would be against the rules for you to let people know that you just sold her those some items for half the price a couple of weeks ago.
