Swapper Complaints Thread (aka: BAD swaps!)

I think there should be a rule that pictures need to be posted before a seller swaps or sells their products. :/
Type 4, fine/high density, high porosity
Last Relaxer - March '11

Fall/Winter PRODUCTS

Clarifier - Paul Mitchell Three Low-poos - BoBeam Conditioners - TJ Nourish Spa, CJRM!, Co-Wash - N/A, Leave-Ins - N/A, Moisturizers - Afroveda Coco Latte, QBCTDG, CR Moisture Butter, Sealants/Stylers - Any BASK butters and creams, Jane Carter N&S, QBATB
The other person I bought Darcy's Pumpkin Seed Conditioner from was greeneyes2. The product was fine but she was dishonest about shipping.

I paid 02/06 she said she'd ship on 02/09. On 02/16 I asked about the status. She said "Yep. Im pretty sure the post office said first class. It should have gotten there Tues/Wed of this past week". I asked for a tracking # but the one she gave didn't work. When I asked if it was correct, she said "Yes thats whats on my po receipt". I suggested she follow up with her PO. She said "As I said in my earlier note, I mailed it first class mail to you. I dont believe that the label # listed which I gave to you is meant for tracing purposes..."

If she didn't get delivery confirmation then why tell me in the previous two PMs that the # she gave was a tracking number? In her next PM she feigned ignorance stating "Just giving u the info i have from my receipt & the mail clerk at the po. I never misled u on anything". So now she doesn't know what a tracking number is? She's not brand new.

The kicker was when I finally received it on 02/19. The mailing date on the package said 02/11, days after she claimed she mailed it?

The point is, if she was just honest about sending it late and about not having tracking to begin with, none of this drama had to happen. All this rigamarole for what? Just to lie? *smh*
What gets me is that she is STILL PMing me to insult me about this, claiming that I'm being cheap, how much she paid to ship, calling me names and saying it's my fault for not requesting pics? She told me before I paid that she was actually UNDERestimating the amount to be on the safe side and it was really 90%! WTH?!

EDIT: Oh wait, now she just refunded me and is telling me to KEEP it, all while making back-handed apologies? She knows she won't be able to sell this 60% bottle as 85%-90% to anyone who has sense! People are crazy! *smh*

Ironically, I've had two bad swaps in a row for the SAME product (Darcy's Pumpkin Seed Conditioner) with two different swappers, so I have to call them out! This last one being the worst. I bought this from strawberryhoney who claimed in the ad that it's 85% (see pic). I got it today and it clearly is not that much, the product doesn't even come above the label. I politely asked her how to resolve this and she snapped saying she has integrity, she doesn't have to lie for $10, she's in the military, called me blind and a cheap bird, etc. THEN she had the nerve to insist that it's actually 90%?!?!?! The first time I bought a brand new bottle of this it was filled almost to the top. I asked for a partial refund ($2) but she demanded the item back while hurling insults at me. Of course I saved the PMs. People, please let me know who's in the wrong here. By the way, she added the pic to her ad days AFTER it was paid for and shipped!

No, that's definitely not 85%. IMHO that's about 65%.

But don't be disillusioned. I've bought & swapped for a lot of products here (including the Darcy's pumpkin condish) and have had great experiences.

Exactly! That and tracking numbers! See my post above about my other swap mishap for the same item with another seller!

I think there should be a rule that pictures need to be posted before a seller swaps or sells their products. :/

Yes I see your point. I can understand a slight difference in perception but this is very clearly not as advertised. Plus, the disrespectful behavior from someone who keeps reminding me she's in the military, is appalling and unnecessary. We could have just agreed to disagree and moved on. Usually I would handle this privately and politely too but her craziness prompted me to put her on blast here.

Her discipline is way off too. On PM she was bugging out having a child-like tantrum! (>_<)

I really regret having to post this, but I need to report a bad swap experience about a previous purchase. In November of last year, I purchased what I thought was Jessicurl Hair Cleansing Cream from Tori8780.
Here is the email that I sent to her one month ago:

"Back in November, I purchased 2 products from you, one being Jessicurl Hair Cleansing Cream. At that time, I put it away in my stash to finish up another product, but I recently got it out to use, and have some questions about it's authenticity. First, I just noticed that the label states weight as "1 liter". It clearly is in a 8 to 12 oz. max bottle! Secondly, it foams up like a regular shampoo; actually, it was all foamy sitting in the bottle, just sitting in my cupboard. I have used this product before, and it was not like this. Lastly, it has a pinkish color, and the smell is unusual; supposed to be Island Fantasy scent, but does not smell like other JC products I have had with this scent.
I am hesitant to make this inquiry, but I believe the product may have been cut with some other type of product...
I feel that something is definitely off, and would like an explanation and/or a partial refund for my purchase."

Never received a reply from her, so I'm going to assume it was not authentic. I see others here have had this problem, and one other person filed a dispute with Paypal. I think it is too late to do this for me, but I did learn a lesson...to examine my product more closely right away, and try to address it immediately either with the seller, or Paypal....live and learn

I purchased a product from "ofroyalty", there is hair in the product. I asked for a refund she said no. So if you do purchase from her be sure to make sure that it is in a bottle and not a jar! Happy swapping and buying! No more buying off of the swaps for me..

Fast forward to the 21st and earlier that day I looked at the tracking and it said the electronic info was received on the 20th but there was no movement on the package. So Im getting panicky and at this point contemplating contacting USPS to raise hell, I honestly thought something might have happened to the package. It ended up updating later on that day and when I asked if she sent it on the 19th like she said, she lied and said YES. Even though the tracking shows that she's lying. I let her know that all she had to do was be honest and not lie about it (I was very respectful), she hasn't responded back yet. I mean the shipping wasnt the issue, the lying and bad communication is what bothered me. It wasn't even that big of the deal. If she had just said "I couldn't on the 19th I will on the 20th" I would have been ok with it. But the dishonesty over something so minute really put me off.

Also just send the product back and file a complaint with Paypal. She could have checked for hairs and cleaned it up. I mean when you buy on here you know it's used....that's the nature of swapping...but she could have watched for things that were just straight unsanitary. Dont sell a product if it has hair in it.

Ladies if I were you I would post these complaints inside of the actual listing that you bought your items from this way it's really out there to see instead of inside this one thread.

Not sure which would be a better option.

I can't believe she outright lied to me about the shipment time like that....even though it's very CLEAR according to usps she didn't ship it the day she said. Once again...it's a one day difference. But the lie of "Yes I shipped it that day" and then when I told her it was messed up for her to lie to me and then no response....or even a sorry. NO. I would avoid buying from her like the plague. I actually KNEW someone other than myself would have an issue with this person eventually. She doesn't take personal responsibility for her actions or lack thereof and is inconsiderate.

I'm having the same problem with someone I just had to open a claim on and she CHANGED the listing after I paid for it but I made sure I took a camera shot of the original listing before I sent the $ bc they'll modify the post to reflect a lower percentage that's why I ALWAYS include the percentage they say it's supposed to be in the subject messages when I send the $. Inch high private eye got something for they lying a$$e$! Boom
Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with Rufus12.

She said she was mailing my item last week Wednesday and I have yet to receive it. I paid for the item on March 17th. I had to message her to ask if she was shipping it out to which she said she would mail it in the morning. I've received no reply to my message asking her for a tracking # a week after she 'mailed' it. So PayPal dispute is on and popping!
