What products are you currently using and what is your regimen? Also do you know what porosity your hair is?

Lol wow I only know how to answer 2 of the questions you asked......I'm jus now deciding to where my natural hair which means I don't know what it needs from what is doesn't and more then ever I don't know why the stuff I am using is loosing effect so fast.......
Hair Routine:
I wash with VO5 Herbal Escapes(rich formula 2x stronger hair) Moisturizing Shampoo
Then rinse that out and apply the VO5 Volumizer Conditioner(Weightless Conditioning to maximize fullness with Keratin) I leave this for about 30 minutes or so because I try to lock in the curl I have we the conditioner is in my hair(looks like type a hair )
After rinsing the conditioner out I towel dry my hair a little then I add Cholesterol Hair conditioning Cream.....I work that in then I add my hair Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Girls Hair Pudding.....and I use jam to TRY to slick my sides down....:-/
My mom refers to my hair as greedy because I kid you not after I put all that stuff in my hair with in a hours time it feels crunch n dry and there is no shine like I haven't put anything in it at all

Hi chocolate, I would recommend really looking at the ingredients in all of the products that you're using. Do the products contain sulfates, silicones or even proteins? All of the above ingredients can result in dry/brittle hair. I learned the hard way that my hair does not need added protein. I was using conditioners and leave-ins with protein and couldn't figure out why my hair was dry and brittle. Once I removed the added protein, my hair was happy. One other thing to consider, if your hair is "eating up the moisture", try using some type of oil, like EVOO, EVCO, Joboja, etc, to seal in the moisture.

Just to show you how much hair is different, my hair was dry and brittle especially my ends. I have fine hair and have learned that my hair was lacking protein. I did a protein treatment and now my hair is moisturized and shiny. You will have to experiment to see if you are getting too much protein or not enough. Also I am now sealing my ends with Shealoe butter. It will take a bit of hit or miss to find out what will work for you.

texture - medium/fine, porosity - low/normal, elasticity - normal
co-wash - NaturelleGrow Coconut Water or Marshmallow Root, Slippery Elm Bark & Blue Malva Cleansing Conditioners
LI - KCKT mixed w/ SM C & H Curl & Style Milk
DC - NG Mango & Coconut H2O or Chamomile/Brdck Root
Gel - SM souffle (winter), KCCC (summer) or CR Naturals Aloe Whipped Butter Gel (year round)
Sealers - Virgin Coconut Oil, Avocado butter, Aloe butter
Ayurvedic treatments - Jamila Henna, Sukesh, Aloe Vera Powder, Hibiscus Powder
.

Hey Juanab , you're absolutely right! Hair texture that is fine needs protein to strengthen it. It does depend on the hair texture and porosity if added protein is needed. My hair is course (thick in texture), and normal to low porosity and protein is definitely not my friend.
