Hair falling out because of wearing clip ins and using the flat iron. Any advise?!?!

Okay, so for the past 3 years I was practically straightening my hair every day as well as frequently wearing clip in extensions. I loved having the appearance of long straight hair, it always made me feel a lot more confident & sexy than my curls ever did. (hairtype: shoulder length 3b) My hair was pretty split at the ends and would always break but I never thought it would get to the point that it's at now! About 8 months ago I started to notice that my hair was not just breaking off but it was falling out at the root, my hair was getting thinner and thinner and my scalp was starting to show. the amount of hair I have lost is traumatizing..I couldn't believe it.. I stopped wearing clip ins and using the flat iron almost imediately and even cut my hair to my chin like a curly bob. I used to have a super thick & bouncy head of curls and now it's so thin I can't do anything with it but put it up in a bun. It's a shame I didn't take advantage of my curls & I really wish I had not abused them with heat. I take biotin & use coconut oil on my scalp and just ordered a bunch of other essential oils online and also massage my scalp few times a day to stimulate hair growth. BUT, my main frustration is that in the past 8 months I have not done anything to my hair style wise & have been trying everything to keep my hair healthy but when I look close at the scalp I see little to no new hair growth! If hair is supposed to grow 1/2 an inch per month shouldn't I have at least a few good inches of new hair by now?? I'm worried that my hair is never going to be what it once was. Can anyone relate to this? I have never heard of anyone going bald from straigtening..has this happened before? I'm really just in need of some moral support and tips or advise..or if someone has information on where I could find a time machine that would be great too :/

Try to keep flat ironing to a minimum and be extra careful when taking out your clip ins so that you're not pulling out your hair. Also, if your clip ins are heavy then the strain on your scalp may be causing your hair to weaken and fall out.

You may need to start using a conditioning hair treatment to bring your hair back to health. Check out the Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan oil Treatment kit or at least the Argan oil on its own. They can revive your hair and keep it healthy, plus they also prevent hair loss and stimulate hair growth.
I had a bout of no growth last year. My hair just stopped growing. I know this because I color and had no roots.
The first thing I did was abuse it with too much styling. Too much washing song raking and everything. O it stopped thriving. Net I put in henn but instead of ing water I mixed with lemon juice. In three weeks I did it six times. Next thing I know I have a patch of vey very short hair. So I cut it all off. I did it in nov 2011. So now I'm bld n it won't gro. O I started wearing a wig. From nov to may, I got a half inch of new growth. Out of desperation, I started looking for growthbid evn though I didn't think any existed. I came across mtg by Shapleyd. I researched for three week. I read sll the comments and reviews. I purchased it. I looked at it for another week. Then I tried it. This is crazy but I saw growth in a couple of days. Long story short I started using it on may 15 and 4 weeks later I had 3/4 inch of growth. I used it a lot the first week and sparatically the other three.
It stinks. I can only use ehn I'm not going out. I started mixing with lemon oil and that helped. This wee I ordered the sulu max. Sme thing ith scent added.

If interested you'll need to do you on research. I feel your psin. I am hoping to gain 8 inches by december. (any crazy spelling is due to suggestions which I'm about to turn off)
