New growth! It's hair growing back in place of shed hair. I have it too. So annoying. .

If its new growth, the ends will be tapered, if it's breakage there will either be a blunt end, split, or fray, your pic looks like new growth though, just based on what my new growth looks like :)

Does tapered mean thin? Cause if so, they are. Thicker at the root and thinner at the ends. No split or blunt/thick end.
