Newly Natural with Bald Spots/Thinning Hair

I recently done the big chopped after one month of new growth because I was tired of having perm ends with kinky curly hair. After the chopped, I notice I had bald spots near my crown and middle back of my head. All along my head is thin and weak. The crown of my head was sore after getting my hair shaved mostly off. I also have two different hair textures which is very annoying (3c/4a I believe). So, my question is should I completely shave off my hair and just start over or keep my newly new growth and try to maintain my hair? Will my hair grow back evenly and healthy if it's all shaved? If I should keep my hair, what should I do to regrow those bald spots?
Shaving and starting over won't necessarily mean your everything will fill in nicely. The only way to know what your situation is is to see a derm who knows a lot about hair loss. Depending on what you may have, the help may be injections in the scalp (alopeocia aerata sp?) which is balding spots, healthy living adjustment to include stress management, rogaine, or maybe nothing. I'm in the nothing category and wish I would have seen a good derm before spending a ton of $ on so much snake oil that is advertised to help or cure.

+1 to Mooshville. Hair loss/thinning can be so many things, and a lot of them are health related. A doctor or dermatologist would be better equipped to help you out, to ensure that the thing your hair grows from (your body!) is healthy.
