Transitioning

Hi Everyone. I am in urgent need of tips for transitioning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My last relaxer was january 22, 2011. I have found it very freeing and very difficult at times. I am also new to this forum and I was wondering does anyone have any suggestions to transitioning? Also I have been transitioning for about three months now and was wondering could I tell what hair type I have this early?

Here are my tips that are Really helping me along my transition.

You probaly heard this alot but CO WASH IS AWSome. Transitioning with dry brittle hair is not cool or fun.

I like to cowash aleast 3-4 times a week for MY hair. this maybe to much or to little for your hair so you should exspirement on how many you should co washes you should do a week.

Stop bothering my hair lol, I use to comb my hair but I notice it takes out alot of my hair. so I decided to start to protective styling like braids or twist.

I dont use heat through this transition because that can make your hair break and very dry.

this are some of my tips, if you need any help message me ^^

and yes and no. somtime you can figure out hair type within 3 months of transition. But if your new growth has no curl definition yet, then I would'nt try to find out your hair type just yet. Since I saw my curls I knew what my hair type was 4a/3c

hope i helped

OH AND LOOK UP THE CURLY GIRL METHOD! THIS HELPS ALOT ALSO!

4a hair
Suave Naturals Juicy Green Apple Conditioner
Follow the CG (curly Girl) Method =)
Still Transitioning!
I last relaxed in mid-Sept. and I still have a hard time determining my curl type for sure (I think I am somewhere between 3b and 3c) because even with relaxing my hair was still curly anyway.

We should start a "less than a year" transitioners club" lol
Mostly relaxed, yet still curly hair, which I am going to try to grow out with daily conditioner rinses and a shampoo once or twice a week.

Officially Transitioning since March 2011.
Last Relaxer September 2010

Got some kind of curly bangs going here! And I think my bangs are all natural!

I think that my natural hair is somewhere between a 3b and a 3c, I hope it's not too soon to tell!
"less than a year" transitioners club, that is so funny. Thanks for the tips and advice.
