Default EPIC FAIL!!

I have been transitioning since February so far my hair has grown fast I have a lil over an inch of new growth [when stretched out] But... idk what to do with it =[ I usually keep it covered with a beenie or a lace front but when ever I attempt a twist out its an epic fail does anyone have tips to a perfect twist or any other styles I'm sick of hiding my hair =[

How do you do your twist outs? Have you been looking at YouTube transitioning style videos to help you along?

I've looked all over YouTube and tried ways where I part it in 4 sections, do a bunch of smaller ones, and flat twist I'm thinking its just my relaxed ends that refuse to cooperate

I'm a huge fan of flat twists (they take less time and have automatic separation). For me I can't do really big sections they look horrible, but smaller sections look great every time.

It might be the products you are using to twist...also is your hair fully dry when you take them down?

Also sometimes it just takes practice...when I first started to now is a complete difference...

If its reassuring my TWA days were my hardest, I could barely keep my twists from unraveling and it took forever to complete. I found a few youtube videos of other naturals at about the same length with similar curl patterns and after mixing tips here and there was able to find ways to help. YouTube was my best friend at that time. Continue with the lacefronts and be sure to protect your edges, in time you'll see your hair take off from not wearing it out on a regular.

I tried bantu knots while my hair is wet but they wouldn't stay. I'm transitioning. Got frustrated gad a weak moment and ended up blow drying my hair . Don't know what protective styles to do and what products are good to use

Same here =[ the only thing that works now is putting my hair n cornrows I might leave it in for two days and throw my pace front over it... its the only thing that kinda works tho I still have many limp relaxed pieces =[ no twist or knots work for me hopefully in a few months time they will

You can try doing medium sized braids with a roller on the ends. You can lightly wet each section and use product to get a better defined braid out.

The thing about bantu knots and natural hair is that they must be COMPLETELY dry before you even think about taking them out, Ive had a few epic fails myself so I learned this the hardway. Also another thing that really helped me is that with each knot I do them very tight and put little rubber bands on them to keep them in place. This helps keep the ends from getting crazy and fuzzy etc and keeps them in place until your done drying. I also dont use alot of products, I may put some sweet almond oil , or IC has this silky gel moisturizer that helps and doesnt make your hair crispy or gross once dry and helps keep the curls nice and shiny.

Hope this helps!
