Hello. I would like to get Senegalese twists put in, but the fitrst time I went to a salon, the woman told me my hair was too thick to twist. Before I try another salon, is there such a thing as hair being too thick to twist? I usually get box braids, and I have done twist outs on my hair before, but I really like Senegalese twists. Any information would be helpful. TIA!

She was being lazy. I think they could do it...although I've never had them. I've seen a lot of people with thick texture get it done. Hope this helps

maybe you could get kinky twists, nubian twists or fluffy twists- they have more of a textured look. senegalese twist usually uses the braid hair that has more of a relaxed texture maybe thats what she meant by too thick, not sure tho im no professional but i thought anybody could get this type of twist so maybe she was being lazy lol

She was being lazy. I have thick and dense hair and I've had senegalese twist, kinky twist, and box braids. And they have all looked nice. The only problem is most braiders would try to ridiculously upcharge me so I taught myself how to braid.
