All my family/friends are relaxed so i get no support in the hair dept. from them, so anyone transitioning im here needing support and advice from someone that can relate to this

I agree with yOshi. There are so many ladies on here that have been through what you are going through. If you have questions just ask. There is bound to be someone that will help you out. Also check out youtube for style ideas and product reviews. All of this has helped me so far with my transition.

How far along are you in your natural hair journey?

I never really decided to go natural it just happened so im not completely sure how long its been .. i think my last relaxer was like dec 2011

I decided to go natural when I was about 1 month post perm as well. I started off with weekly washing and deep conditioning. I used the products that I used while I was relaxed until I did more research on the products out there. What works for one person may not work for others. Then I chose a transitioning style that doesn't require heat and did that every week.

In the beginning my hair didn't always turn out the way that I wanted but now after 7 months I am able to style my hair with ease and I have even changed some of the products in my regimen to natural products.

Its cool u started ur own thread. Best way to gain support. I'm transitioning/growing out as well & if u ever wanna hop ovr to my "grow partners" thread its in the growing out forum. I check it at least every other day. So if u need to vent, got any tips, etc.. ur more than welcome to join
