Doing Box braids, but i need some info first..

so im gonna do box braids and keep them in until the 26th and i'm big chopping the 27th... should i trim my ends first? can i deep condition or do a hot oil treatment on my braids? is this a good idea? how big should the braids be? i don't want them to be tooo small... any information on box braids will be helpful

It doesn't make sense to trim your hair before you braid it since you're going to BC when you take it out.

What I would do, if I were you, is BC my hair 1st then get box braids. That way, your hair will already be cut and you can wear the braids even longer. Instead of getting braids to protective style hair that will get cut off.
