everytime i wash my hair and let it airdry no matter what products i use as soon as my hair get's dry it gets massive and spongy and really dry,, what am i doing that's so wrong?!
How are you letting it airdry? What products are you using to moisturize and seal prior to drying, and are you letting your hair dry loose or braided/twisted, etc.? For me, letting my hair airdry loose is asking for trouble (I accidentally did it a few weeks ago, and had to just go on and rewash). I moisturize my hair with a leave-in, seal with an oil or butter, depending on the weather, then braid it up. I also only leave it exposed for around 30 minutes before I put on a scarf (with little holes in it) and let it airdry the rest of the way.

I also have this problem and its one of the main problems I have with my hair. It only seems to happen with the hair on the sides and front and because that hair is already shorter and the curls get tighter and drier it gives my hair a bad over all shape. The rest of the hair would be fine but just that part has always given me problem. It seems that products iv used have no effect. Or atleast That I can tell.

i'm really lazy so i just let my hair airdry with some giovanni direct leave in and hope for the best .. which never works out lol
next time i'll try twists or braids that makes sense.
Thanks for your replies!

Use that, put an oil or butter on the hair to help keep the moisture in (how thick the oil is really depends on your hair type and style--I use heavier butters when I'm in a bun and lighter ones when I twist), and then twist. They don't have to be super small or worn in that style, just enough to let the hair dry without shrinking on itself. Good luck!
