Default New growth

I have about 1/2 inch natural growth. Any opinions on using straight coconut oil or straight shea butter on new growth?

I don't see a problem with you doing that. However, shea butter and coconut oil are sealants. So just make sure you use something moisturizing underneath and you should be fine. I started using a whipped shea butter and coconut oil when I was about 4 months into my transition and my hair has loved it. Hope this helps.
