Default Product Packages

Sorry for the double post. Posted this in the 3c thread, but didn't get a response. Hoping this is the right place to post and some one can help.

Hi,
I am very new to going natural. Have been straightening my hair since I was 14 and now 37. My hair is very dry and brittle. Was a 3c before straightener and now transitioning back. My last straightener was 12/25/11.

Like I said very new to this and I know finding the perfect product will be via trial and error. The problem is I do not even know where or how to start. I would love to find a package (don't mind purchasing online) that will bring every thing I will need so at least I know what products I should be experimenting with. I just didn't realize it would be so overwhelming. There are so many companies offering these packages.

Would you guys mind giving me a few reputable places you have bought decent transition starter packs from?

I would really appreciate it.

~ Jen

Hi Jen. I too am 3c, and I have a few suggestions for you. Though they are quite expensive, curlmart.com has quite a few product packages based on hair typing, and concern. Also the curls line has a transitioning pack. I forget their actual website, but just google "Curls natural hair products" or simply "Curls". Darcy's Botanicals also has some products aimed at transitioners. Google, youtube, and forums like this one will be your best friends! HTH.

Carol's Daughter Olive oil infusion kit might help you. Macys has it or you can order it online. I think it's still $25. I love it. I am 14 months transitioning. Almost ready for my BC.

Thank you so much. I appreciate the advice. I am debating between curls and curl mart.

I am really excited and wondering what my hair will look like. I have been stalking this forum and loving the pics.

I am so disappointed. I've spent a few days researching and finally made the decision to buy the transition kit from curlmart, and they are out of stock. At least I think since there is no way to add to my cart.

Anyone know how long they usually take to re-stock? And Im assuming the products in this kit are good. They have been highly recommended and Im taking there running out as a good sign. Lol

Shea moisture has 2 transition/starter kits. You can get them from walgreens or order them from their website.

Thank you Mia. I'm impressed with the great reviews the Organic Curl and Shine kit received. I might just give it a try.
