Hair drama: Transitioning & Bald Patches

To make a long story short. I haven't posted on here in awhile. I was transitioning to natural hair and recently broke down & relaxed my hair which was a stupid mistake. After the relaxer I had already made up my mind to just start over and transition again. Almost 3 weeks after the relaxer I'm now seeing a patch of hair broken off down to the scalp, the size of a dime. I've had this problem before almost 3 years ago the damage grew out. Now I'm back with the same problem. I need help getting back on a good regimen with transitioning and growing out this patch. All suggestions and tips are welcomed. Thank you!

WHYYYYYYY!!!!! Aww man! And I know you were transitioning for a while too! About your broken area I would put castor oil on it daily and monitor it. Whatever you were doing when your 1st started to transition you should start doing it. Just watch watch it, care it and in no time it will grow back.

You know what to do, you're a pro!

Thank you! I know now I have to push forward now despite the damage. I think for a short period I was getting caught up in what I thought would have been more manageable for me. Plus my mom wasn't really on board with natural hair. I honestly just want healthy hair now. It was a lesson learned relaxers are just not for me. This time around I'm not using any heat period just braid outs, bun, and wash and gos. Thanks for recommending castor oil. Right now I use coconut oil and hair butters to help simulate growth.

Yes girl. This time around should be good. I wouldn't even worry about it. You're broken area should grow back in no time!

And it sucks when you have no support. My mom was the same way. She's a hair dresser. She wasn't on board when I said I was going natural because she had no clue how I was going to manage the 2 textures. NOW she's in love with my hair. She still complains about the thickness when she does my hair but she loves it. Give your mom some time and she'll come around and at the end of day it's YOU that wants to go natural. YOU'RE the one who wants your healthy hair back. Everyone else doesn't matter.

Do YOU girl!!

I know now she's on board because before she was swearing relaxers didn't cause damage to my hair several times before. Now she sees the negative effects. Relaxers are pointless to me I wear my hair in braid outs 85% of the time. The rest is just bunned up. That was the last time I'm going to make a foolish mistake like that again. I'm going to the health food store either tomorrow or Friday to get some castor oil.
