Default Shea Butter for protective style

I was just wondering if it's possible to use TOO much shea butter in your hair? I make a wonderful creamy mix with shea butter, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil. JoJoba Oil, and Vitamin E. I love it! I put it all over my hair at once and then I put it on in sections, then twisting them...then putting on a half wig or a scarf to keep my hands out my hair. My biggest concern is if I'm putting too much Shea butter on my hair. I wash my hair every Friday to wash out the build-up and do the process all over again. Please let me know because I do NOT want to slow down the growth process.

I actually use the exact same oils in my Shea butter mix! I think it's fine to use a lot of Shea butter in your hair as long as you use a clarifying shampoo to make sure you don't block you hair follicles! If you add a higher concentrations of oils to your mix it will make it a
Lighter mix that is suitable for everyday use. Another tip is not to apply too much to your scalp and focus on your ends and you'll be fine

Why not add them to your scalp? My scalp gets so itchy after a few days.
