What is your transitioning style?
I'm mostly utilizing curl sets. Usually I just put six or more braids or twists in my hair and put rollers on them at night. Then in the morning I unravel, fluff, and usually put my hair in a banana clamp. I've also done Bantu knot outs and bunned styles. I tried box braids but I couldn't stand the weight of them. Gave me headaches. So, what are your transitioning styles?

Twist outs are what work for me. I started with braidouts, which worked for a while but then stopped acting right. So no I do twistouts and twist n curls.

When I do Bantu knots I always start with hair that is slightly damp, either after washing or after moisturizing. Some people even use shea butter or gel, depending on their hair. I try not to make the knots too small or too large and I make sure to place two or three knots at the crown of my head so my hair doesn't look flat. It definitely takes practice to get a good Bantu knot out. I watched YouTube videos until I got it right.

During my first 12 months I did a lot of bantu knots and flat twist outs. I always had emergency half wigs on the side too, LOL.
Now I do a lot of twist and twist outs.

I mainly do braid outs with a couple of buns thrown in. Now that the weather is getting cooler, I'm going to keep my hair braided up for 2 weeks

I did bantu knot outs on dry hair all the time with leave in conditioner. It worked for me. I tried twist outs and braid outs but they just weren't doing it for me. sometimes I would press my hair but I was lucky enough to not get heat damage back then. Good luck with your transition ladies, if you're trying long term it's definitely worth the wait. If you plan on big chopping, rock your TWA with confidence!

My go-to is roller sets and sitting under my hood dryer (basically gives me a straight look w/ lots of body). I haven't had luck with braid-outs. I'm almost one year post-relaxer, so I have more natural hair to work with so I'm hoping that I'll be able to have success with twist outs, braid-outs, etc.

"fluff" bangs, buns/ponytails, and pretty head wraps. For some odd reason, braid outs and twist outs don't work on me.

I've recently started implementing the tension method to my routine to stretch my new growth without using curl sets. I only use low heat with my blow dryer when I'm applying tension to each section.

Braids & bantu-knot outs work best for me.
Due to an incident with stress (read: whenever I'd get nervous or stressed, I'd literally pull my hair from out of my head), my whole left back side is short, natural hair, so, anything that involves pulling my hair up is almost "out of the question" due to the strange look.
