Default Should I blow my hair out?

I'm going to the hair salon tomorrow, and I just began my transitioning journey. (2-3 months in without my perm).
I've been washing my hair on my own, using no heat. I've been wanting to go to the hair salon lately, but I forgot they use that huge professional hair dryer with strong heat.

I know it's okay to use a hooded dryer with rollers, but at the end they take out those rollers, and straighten the hair with the hot blow dryer.

My mother says I should blow my roots down, but I say I just want a wrap.
But if I get a wrap, supposedly my roots with be curly, and push my hair up.

So should I blow out my hair, or just get a wrap?
