Default Thin ends

I am currently a little more than 4 months post. My ends seem thin in comparison to the new growth . Is this normal? If not what can I do to minimize shedding and thinning?

Yes, it's normal. That's why most people either use transitioning styles that blend the different textures or they cut off the stringy ends.
