Default How to manage different hair textures

Hey guys! I'm six months post relaxer. My hair is soft and less course on the sides and back. However, the top and middle are course and thicker. This area becomes matted and tangled quickly. What can I do to make the top and middle section soft and less course like the rest of my hair?

Omg I have that same problem. I use oil to soften it. Recently I purchased vatika oil from Hairveda and I am in love with what it does to my hair. Coconut or EEVO are good too.

I know where you're coming from. I'm almost a year into my transition and don't plan on BC-ing any time soon. What has really helped me with tangles is using Creme of Nature's Argan Oil Intensive Conditioning Treatment and Pantene's Truly Natural Cowash & Deep Conditioner in the shower. These products worked amazing on my hair the first time I used them that now whenever I wash/wet my hair, it pretty much detangles on its own without a comb or Denman brush. And guess what? These products are under $7 and can be found almost anywhere, even Family Dollar!!
