Finger Coils on Transitioning Hair

So, I've been transitioning for almost a year and decided to try finger coils. It took me 2 hrs 45 mins to create them but I was pleased with the results. I trimmed some of my relaxed ends as I coiled but some were just too long to cut entirely off so I rolled them with rods. I liked how they turned out but would like suggestions as to how to maintain them at night and the next day. I've tried re-rolling them and applying coconut oil but they still appear dry and frizzy.

I love them! I did some last week and to maintain them, I wrapped my hair in a scarf at night and added some sort of styler like a curl cream on some of the coils that would un-wrap. Other than that, I find finger coils are amazingly low maintenance. :)

Yes, they are very low maintenance! I was so surprised by how long they last. And thanks for the advice :-)
