Default I plead temporary insanity...

At 2 o'clock this morning I picked up some scissors and started chopping off my hair. I've only transitioned for a little over 5 months. I had talked about BC'ing but not seriously. And I guess early this morning I was just tired of talking about how badly I wanted to do it. I was tired of feeling afraid. Sooo I did it!! I have no clue what it will look like this morning. I have no idea how my family and coworkers will react.

I'm still kinda in shock! It's all gone...

Sometimes you just have to go for it.

Now your face, your head, and your neck can BREATHE.

Sounds EXACTLY like you had a sudden fit of clarity - like something inside you knew the time was right to go all the way natural. Good for you

So how do you feel about it now?

I'm still shocked that I went through with it. I feel really good knowing I'm starting fresh and I will get to grow with my curls and know exactly what they need and don't need. When I started researching naturals, I thought this would only be temporary and some time later this year I would relax again. But the more I researched, the more I realized that I really wanted to do it! And once I made the decision to transition, I was deadset against the BC. Like nah uh, no way, never going to happen! And now, I have a TWA which I neverrrr thought would happen. But I'm happy with it, I just have to get used to caring for it. And I'm so grateful for all of the support. That helps to disregard any negative comments from those that don't agree with my decision. Thank you again ladies !

I think the cut fits you! I admire your strength. I'm at the 5 month mark in my transition. My goal is to BC once I reach 2 years.

Thank you! I totally admire people who are able to transition for a long period of time. I thought I would be amongst you all but I barely made it five months! Lol. Good luck with your transition!!

I transitioned for three months before I had a moment when I really wanted to bc. I bc'ed three days after I decided I wanted too so I didn't have much time to to talk myself out of it. I am now two months natural and loving it. You look gorgeous and it may take some time to get used to having super short hair but after about a month you will begin to love your hair.

Can anyone help me with my texture?? I know the pictures aren't the best. I plead temporary insanity...-imageuploadedbycurltalk1378377355.174733.jpg

I'm guessing 4b/4c. I have some course spots that have no curl pattern at all.
