i also went natural but i'm finding a hard time with using products on my hair.i want to know what products did you use and how did you use them.i'm new to going natural and i find it hard to do anything with my hair because it very frizzy so what ever you know i would really appreciate your reply.
I am still getting used to the way it looks on me, but for the most part I think I am used to it. I do not regret leaving relaxers behind at all!

I got my hair cut at Christo's, and my stylist (Tameeka) did my hair like that. She used the Curlisto products Control Gel II and Structura Lotion. While my hair was wet, she sectioned my hair and applied a mixture of the gel and lotion to each section. She raked the mixture through the section with both hands perpendicular to each other to define the curls. When She finished, she put me under the dryer until my hair was about 95% dry. She then used the Curlisto pomade to soften the curls. I hope that helps. I have not been able to replicate the result myself yet, but I think it may be the products I used. I did not buy the Curlisto products so I tried Fantasia IC gel (clear). I don't think it had enough hold for my hair.
As for frizziness, I am no expert of natural hair, but from what I know of hair, the key is moisture. If your hair is not adequately moisturized, it will be frizzier. My hair loves the L'Oreal Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture Creme. I do not know if it is CG, but it really moisturizes my hair!
That's funny because I've seen many pictures of women who categorized themselves as 4a that made me think, "Your curls are so big and loose. You're not 4a. I am!"
I guess the back and middle of my hair are more similar to 3s than 4s. I have such a hard time getting definition in those areas, though, that it seems like 4z! I think the hair closest to my hairline (i.e. the hair I can actually see) is definitely 4a.
