Default Has anyone ever permed relaxed hair?

Hi,
I am a 3b transitioning. Currently, the bottom 1/2 of my hair is straight while the top 1/2 is curly and it looks dumb.

Has anyone ever had a perm done on top of relaxed hair?

Thanks!

omg!!! no, no, no, no, NO!

((((BIG HUG)))) LOLOLOL

pardon my initial reaction. PLEASE don't try to curl chemically straightened hair with more chemicals. this will definately kill what's left of the permed part of your hair.

try straw curls or skinny size spirial rods until you are ready to cut the relaxed parts out. i'll have some links for you by the end of the day.

I know somebody (3a hair) that relaxed her hair, didn't like it, and did a self-perm 2 weeks later. Well when she washed out the perm her hair was falling out in clumps so she called 911 and when they took her to the emergency room the nurse said "you don't need a doctor, you need a salon" LMFAO!!!
She told me the story and I was DYING! Ahahaha Don't worry, by the time she told me the story yrs had passed and her hair was waist length!

Transitioning is a pain in the *bleep* but its not impossible. The time goes by before you know it.

Good luck!

I did it, um, probably 10 years ago or so?

I had it straightened (at home perm kit, my friend just kept combing it straight) then permed by a hairdresser.

Same as yours, it got to be half & half and was driving me nuts. It was a good decision for me at the time!

For the love God woman DO NOT do this!!! Yes, your hair will FALL OUT.

Right now my hair is half relaxed and half kinky/curly. I am wearing a wig right now and I had kinky twists. I know it's hard but be strong/

I've done it

I wouldn't recommend it. I didn't have "hair falling out in clumps" or anything. But it did make it super dry and I'm convinced my hair will never, ever be the same! I did it about 5 years ago.

omg spy why would u want to put a chemical on top of a chemical? ur hair will most def fall out. to blend the two textures together u can try two strand twists while hair is wet, braids, wash n set or just chop off the rest of ur relaxer. do anything but put a perm on top of the relaxer.
