The confused curly

It has been close to 4 months and my curls are already showing off (3 inches), however my straightened bits are sticking out as wel.

Im wondering if I should just chop off the straightened bits n encourage my curls flaunt themselves or should I wait longer.

And should I start with FOTE just now.....i am on the rinse and condition routine
i would cut off the straightened parts. they will just give you nothing but trouble.that way you can enjoy your curls.after a big cut myself yesterday i am almost all curly. it is so much better.sam
In my opinion, if you have the courage to BC and chop them off, you should do it! Alot of people who do, find that it's much easier than transitioning for a long time. I wish I had that type of courage but I'm going back to school soon and the people at my school wouldn't understand x__x;
Hey everyone!~ I've BCed! Yay! (13 month transition)

thanx for d suggestions...yeah mayb i should just chop them off....but then again its the courage....im still thinking...will keep u guys in the loop
i started with cutting off 2 inches, the next month another 1 or 2,...and so on. so i have went from a little longer than shoulder to a around chin length (it has grown also as im cutting so i have had about 8 inches total cut) with some layers to get rid of the horrible top layer.that way it isnt so shocking to do it all at once. so mabie if you did mini chops like me.i actually kind of like the chin length and may keep it. it is kind of sassy sam
Well, it really depends on how you're feeling about your big chop. I did mine at a little over 4 months. Here is my cut comparison You see, this is why..., as you can see I was really itching to see my natural hair, LOL. Actually, my reason for Bc'ing is a rather long story - I won't bore you with it. The important thing is you have to listen to your own heart - I know that sounds cliche, but it's really true, because only you will have to live with the decision you make. Good luck
