Unhappy I want to cut my hair.. But I don't know how.

I want to cut off the relaxed hair, but leave my curly hair alone. How do i do that?

Well I hope some one who has actually cut their own hair responds (as I haven't gotten to that point yet), but from what I've heard, loading up your wet hair with conditioner helps you to see where the curly hair ends and the straight hair begins. From there, you can cut at that demarcation line, slightly into the curly hair so you don't leave any straight ends, and be sure to use a pair of scissors that are only used for cutting hair. Otherwise you'll be creating split ends as you go.
HTH!!

I've been twisting my hair and then cutting off the ends. I also used that approach for my final big chop. It gave me less of a "blunt" effect at the ends, which is good because when curly hair is too blunt, it can look really poufy.

I twisted each clump of hair into a two strand twist (while wet and conditioned) and then cut it at an angle with hair scissors. HTH
