Deep Conditioner & Leave-Ins: Recommendations?

Hi All,

I've been looking all over the web and reading hair mags, trying to find a good deep conditioner and leave-in. I also think I need to be looking for a reconstructor as I have considerable heat damage. I've narrowed down some possibilities and wanted to find out if anyone else has used them and if so, how did they work out?

Deep Conditioner/Reconstructor:

Curl Junkie Hibiscus & Banana Deep Fix
Elasta QP DPR-11 (Has Petroleum, I think...)???
Elucence Moisture Repair Treatment
GV Hair Reconstructor Joico K-Pak
IC Fantasia Super Concentrated Reconstructor
Cantu Grow Strong Strengthening Treatment

Leave-In:

GV Paul Mitchell The Conditioner
Beauty Without Cruelty Leave-In
Giovanni Direct Leave-In
Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Repair

The curl junkie I'll always co-sign on, especially the one you just mentioned. If you do have heat damage I'd reconstruct with this one perhaps once a month. I tried it this past summer when my hair just emerged into land of the damaged and it took to it immediately! I also tried the Elasta QP DC and didn't care for it too much. My hair was just confused and once I washed it out it was as if I'd done nothing. ( I have an almost full jar if you're willing to swap;-)

As for a leave in, I've tried the Giovanni, as have many folks out there it seems..lol...and I liked it because it's light and has nothing but good ingredients. I've stashed it away though for my summer do's because it is so light. Right now I'm using the KCKT leave in because it's a bit more moisturizing for my hair now that we're in winter.

Curl Junki is great, I actually just use it as a rinseout
Blended Beauty herbal reconditioner is my DT
Pantene Relaxed & Natural anti-breakage defense (whew!) deep conditioner is also good - it has amodimethicone though.

My favorite leave-ins
Abba Pure Gentle leave-in (formerly Abba Nourishing)
Kinky Curly Knot Today
MopTop Daily conditioner
I just tried GVP Paul Mitchell the detangler and like it, but it has a cone.
Sheamoisture Sheabutter leave-in (mixxed with Abba)

Deep Conditioners-I have not tried any of the ones you listed, but here is what I use:
Aubrey Organics GPB Balancing Conditioner- I use it as a prepoo. It really smooths my hair and adds moisture.

Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner-This is really awesome!!! It makes my hair very soft and detangles it well. Smells wonderful!!! Everytime I see it on sale at the store I buy 2 so I won't run out.

You can buy these at Whole Foods or Amazon.

Leave-In:
Giovanni Direct-This works well. It is creamy but not too thick. Smells really good, light, and does not weight my hair down. I use this every day after I cowash. You can buy this on Amazon or any natural/organics section at a grocery store.

Cantu Shea Butter-Smells really good but can weight the hair down if you use it too much. I normally use this at night to add some moisture when my hair is feeling a little dry. It is inexpensive and comes in a 16 oz jar. It would last a long time since you only need a little. You can buy it a Target for about 5.99
