Curlynikki's twist n curl on 7.5 months post hair (pics)

After a failed braidout I washed my hair over and decided to do Curlynikki's twist n curl. I washed my hair, deep conditioned with Pantene relaxed n natural DC mixed with KBB Honey Oatmeal DC for half an hour under the dryer. I used KBB Sultry sandalwood hair milk mixed with Lacio lacio as my leave ins and I threw a little Aloe Vera gel into the mix for hold. I did the twists (about 20 bc the longest parts of my hair are a couple of inches above APL) but I rolled the entire length of my hair on the rollers not just the ends. After sitting under the dryer I mixed KBB creamy coco mango hair butter with shea butter and coconut oil to seal (I used just enough to coat my hands and rubbed it over the twists and my scalp). I separated the twists then separated each half into two or three pieces and this is the end result. ETA I also "massaged" the roots to hide the parts.I loves it!!

It is beautiful and I am gnashing teeth. I swear I won't look at any more successful t&c's since mine come out looking like stinky peas.

Thanks guys! This is my first successful twist out and the only things I did different were to make the twist tight which curlynikki's idea of pinning the root until you're done helps keep the twist tight. Also maybe the size of the roller makes a difference?

Congrats on such a great twist & curl. Yours came out lovely.
This came out look very good. I tried the T n' C last month and it came out pretty bad because the relaxed ends looked to limp.

Thanks! It took me a little over half an hour to set the hair and a little under an hour and a half to dry
I should have used more setting lotion bc it didn't make it through the night
