starting CG & need help!

Hi there! I'm brand spankin' new to this forum and I just started the CG method. I'm a 2C and I live in Colorado, where it's dry. Plus, my hair is coarse & frizzy (non-porous?). For CO washing, I'm using Suave Naturals. Here is my first (probably of many) questions: when I use the CO washing method, I put the conditioner on my fingers and apply to my scalp, but it seems to rub off on my hair before it even gets to my scalp. Then I continue to replenish, but i think it gets caught in my hair and nothing hits my scalp, leaving my hair greasy. Does this make sense? Did anyone else have this problem? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!
I haven't had this specific issue, since my hair's more medium density. But you might try a thinner conditioner for cowashing, maybe V05 (Suave is already on the thinner end of the spectrum). Also, maybe try cowashing in sections. If all else fails, you could try low pooing your scalp, and cowashing the rest of your hair. That would keep your scalp clean without overconditioning your hair.

There's also a condition wash condition method, where you condition your hair with a light conditioner, shampoo your scalp, then rinse. The conditioner applied before shampooing helps prevent dry hair from the shampoo. Then continue with your normal showering routine.

Thanks a ton! I should also add that I meant I have porous hair. I accidentally put I didn't. I always get those confused!
I have had this problem at first but i have realized when i do it in sections it works better to get the product in.
