I've had a quick look at your succesful CG regime so far. Wondered how often you washed/co-washed. Have just started the journey, think I'm 4b but have dry, crispy and frizzy hair in the morning and have to wash or spritz to revive my curls. Any tips as I don't really want a soaked? (using Aubrey Honeysuckle Rose cond and their B5 gel). Your hair looks fab by the way...

Thank you do very much for the compliment! One tip could be not using gel in the length of your hair. I usually only apply gel to my egress to lay them down but conditioner only on the length of my hair. Same as you, I did spritz my hair down every morning with either water or Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave in Conditioner. Sometimes, I use both. I spray the water first let it soak into my hair for about 5-8 min then shake it out never touching my hair then do the same with the Jane Carter.

Wow, the difference is amazing! I thought your hair was beautiful pre-CG, but by week 7, (even though I hate when people do this to me) I wanted to reach through the screen and touch your hair.

I just read the entire thread-- thank you for posting you progress! Your hair is beautiful and your curls look amazing after sticking to CG faithfully. It is very encouraging!
I am starting my 3rd week of CG but yesterday I tried combing my ends in the hopes of keeping my individual coils separate and ended up with a frizzy fro, like I started with. Hopefully it won't take long for my strands to start clumping back together.

Thank you very much! Yes, it takes patience but it will work! One thing that helped me was every now and then I would use the "tightly curly method" separating my curls by smoothing the conditioner down the small sectioned strands and it really helped train my hair to clump a little better.

You can google tightly curly method by Terri LaFlesche (hope I spelled that right) and she has video on her website to show this method. Again, I didn't do it every time because it took so long but every now an them and it helped with definition and smoothed out the frizz.

I've read this ENTIRE journey. I am doing the CG method also. I am so impressed and in awe on how absolutely GORGEOUS your hair is. Reading this blog has been very encouraging for me and basically let me know that choosing the CG method is EXACTLY the right choice for my hair regimen. Thank you so much for sharing with us!!!!! Beautiful curls! I'm in my beginning stages and reading about your progress just inspires me to keep up my regimen.(: I'm so ready to embrace my natural hair. No more blow dryer or straightener, and I wanna have my hair looking decent come August of next year for vacation. Keep up the good work!

No heat challenges are so helpful to the over all health of your hair! That's my opinion and experience anyway. Lol!
