Documenting my journey using the CG Method!!
Today is officially my 1st day doing the CG method!
I used Shea Moisture Black Soap Purification Mask after cleansing then rinsed.
I used Giovanni Direct Leave In, & Curls Creme Brulee as my leave in. Then topped it off with Curls Goddess Glaze Gel for extra hold.
Here are pics of my hair still wet:

Why Thank you! :-)
I'm trying to figure out what will be the best method for my hair. I decided to give the CG method a go for a while.
I have an itchy scalp & my hair would be dry & frizzy the next day with the products that I was using. Plus, I figured the CG method would help with my product junkie issue using conditioner & gel only!
Lol! Fingers crossed! ;-D

2nd day hair after scrunching out the crunch! I sprayed it with water this morning without touching it, let it air dry, then shook it out. My hair was still wet at 7 pm so I diffused it for about 3-4 min with cool air on high speed.
Not sure how I feel about it but we shall see! I'm still getting used to my Afro. My hair has always been long & relaxed since I was about 6 years old. So having it out short & curly is a big change. I'm certainly loving my thick healthy curls so I don't for a minute regret it. I just have to figure out what to do with it & get used to the change. For now, I will be pulling it back into my Afro puff!

Yesterday, I finally tried CG method using Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut & Tresseme Naturals Moisture as my leave in!
I loved my curls & my hair so much better. However, it could have just felt a bit softer being that I used conditioner only to wash rather than after the shampoo to get the silicones out. I was pleasantly surprised by Suave Naturals it seemed so thin to touch but washing my hair with it was very nice!
Overall, I'm in this CG method to win it! Hopefully, I will be able to tell a huge difference in my scalp & hair within the 6 weeks.
Here is a pic of my hair after
co-washing with these products.

I officially bought the Curly Girl Handbook on yesterday from Half Price Books! I'm excited!
I was going for cowashing every other day but I must admit that I slipped up because my schedule has been way crazy! I'm going to dc overnight tonight to get me back on the routine!

Today is official start of week 3 doing CG! I'm enjoying the ride!
This pic is from yesterday... I rocked a curly fro.
Im still using suave Naturals to co wash & Tresseme for my leave in. However, for moisture I added She Moisture Deep Treatment Masque. Also, I used the Curls Goddess Glaze as my leave in gel. I have to say I really liked my results! My hair smelled & felt amazing!

Today is the 1st day of 3rd week doing CG method! Here are some pics from my second day curly fro after using the Tresseme Naturals, Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque, & Curl Goddess Glaze Gel as leave ins!
I love that my hair is looking much less frizzy! As you will be able to see one side of my hair seems to be growing longer than the other. However, I did realize that the top section on the left that looks longer is less curly than the right side. I normally have to scrunch it with gel to make the curls set tighter. I don't know if that makes it look longer or if it truly is growing longer. I need to measure.

I'm officially in week 4 as of yesterday. I deep conditioned over night & co-washed this morning.
I thought I could see a little difference in the way my hair was looking last week when I came out of the shower but didn't want to have my hopes up.
Yes! Today, I can see even better that my curls are starting to clump together on my naked hair without conditioner! I can really tell a difference! I am getting more shrinkage but my curls are really starting to look much better! They dry much less frizzy now & to have my hair not look like a wild bush without product on it is awesome!
To say the least I can tell that it is beginning to hold moisture & my curls are starting to clump properly, looking more defined! Over all I am happy that I decided to go CG method!
What I'm really surprised at is that I haven't used a comb or denman brush for 3 weeks now & my hair stays detangled with just using my fingers!
Excited!

Today I'm so excited about my hair!
Yesterday I co-washed & used only Tresseme Naturals conditioner in my hair with nothing else. Well, I had not be enthusiastic because when I would fluff my hair out; the back would look very frizzy & dry & my curls would pretty much disappear.
I decided to try the "Tightly Curly" method where you separate your curls. It took such a long time because my hair is so thick but it truly paid off & my hair kept each curl, my curls are so very defined its not frizzy & looks great in the back! However, they did shrink up really tight (much tighter than normal) but I can live with that! :-)
Forgive the wierd faces in the pics... I had just woke up & it was 6am. Lol!
