need a RO
IVe been using Suave Wild cherry blossom conditioner
as my cowash all week.no heavier conditioner afterwards,no LI,no product afterwards and am REALLY liking how my hair and scalp looks! I'm not getting the much "tighter" curls that i can get if i really work at it but i'm getting a nice wave that is frizz free....it feels more 'me"..! my scalp isn't (yet anyway)getting a waxy buildup.BUT i think i could use a heavier RO occasionally.
I need one that is silicone free, protein free, oil free(just
weighs down my hair and makes it oily, blah)and preferrably not likely to break me out. I'd like to try GVP balm, but 2nd ingred is comedogenic i'm thinking about trying KCKT but is that too lightweight or would that work as a RO. open to any suggestions.....thanks!
i finally feel like i'm making some progress on this cg thing
and Corinna,if you are out there,i was going to get the Suave clarifying conditioner u like but i really couldn't see how the ingred were any diff than the cherry blossom one i bought so i went with the good smelling one

if its not very moisturizing, doyou have any sugg?
must be oil free, silicone free, protein free....

KCKt is great for detangling but is not moisturizing at all (I first used it as a co-wash for this specific reason).
Most of the conditioners I use have protein, so this is definitely a challenge...
Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture- this does have avocado oil, but it's down near the end of the ingredient list- good moisture, excellent slip (I use this conditioner to add extra slip to some of my really protein-heavy conditioners)
Garnier Fructis Body Boost- this looked cone, protein and oil free when I checked the ingredients
Garnier Fructis Length and Strength- also looked oil and protein free, does have one water-soluble cone

Corinna, you are just so awesome!
thank you! I will check out those 3 and forget
the KCKT for now!
It does get a lil dicey trying to find a conditioner
that is protein, silicone, oil free AND won't break
me out! Coconut oil,if i just look at it,it will break
me out.which sucks, cuz i love the smell of coconut.
I have been breakout free for a while but i have to
be soooo diligent about what goes on my face/head...its quite the bummer............
I may need a gel in the near future. i live in iowa
so think hot and humid. any suggestions there?
i should stay away fromglycerin in the summer or is it in the winter?
I looked up gycerin free aussie freeeze but 2nd ingred laureth 23 is highly zit forming....good grief!

Here's a thread I found about summer vs winter products:
Summer vs Winter: what to change with the seasons
Typically glycerin works best when the dews are between 40 and 60. I've also heard that hard hold gel is a must! I'm up in NY where I just saw the dews creep up to 31 today, so I probably can't help too much with heat and humidity right now since I've only been modified CG since November.

Maybe yes to tomatoes or cucumbers? I believe they are both protein free.
