Default Need CO Suggestions

After constantly dealing with frizz, I've decided to go full CG. I always start, then fall off the wagon and shampoo after a week.

I already have a CO-wash: Suave Naturals in Green Apple. I can't find the Coconut scent anywhere, but I'm assuming the Green Apple is still fine to use.

The next step confuses me. I read a blog (The College Curly: Laura Lee's All In One Guide to Going CG: Now Revised and Updated!) that says I need to follow up the CO-wash with a richer CO. I usually use Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Leave-In after I wash.

So my question is, do I need to do the other CO step, or does my leave-in count? And is it CG friendly?

Thanks so much!

I've heard the Suave Green Apple can be kind of heavy. If your hair feels gunky you might want to try a lighter conditioner like VO5 Kiwi Lime. Suave also has a daily clarifying conditioner that is great for co-washing. I'm not sure of the ingredients on the SAS LI, but I know the regular conditioner is no longer CG friendly. Tresemme Naturals has some nice RO conditioners that are pretty cheap and work well for RO or LI.

Thanks for the info! Since I've been shampooing, it's hard to say if my hair is gunky. But I might try to V05 anyway. I've also heard great stuff about the Tresseme line. Might pick one of those up for a RO

The sleek and shine leave in has silicone in it, I looked at it this morning!

I LOVE Darcy's Botanicals Cleansing Conditioner Cream! It's so moisturizing yet gently cleansing. It cleans enough to use as a cowash, but it's so thick and hydrating, I can also use it as a rinse-out conditioner on the days that I clarify my hair. Totally recommend it
